Design Process

Stage 1: Briefing

Briefing-new.jpgThe first stage of our process is the briefing where one of expert interior designers will visit your home or your commercial premises. At this meeting the scope of the project is established to ascertain the full requirement and involvement on the project in terms of architecture and build as well as interior design.

It's also a perfect time to establish a client rapport and to ensure both parties are happy.

Stage 2: Visual Concepts

Visual-Concepts.jpgFollowing the client brief, full colour design visuals can be produced to illustrate the initial concept designs.

The visuals indicate the proposed style, space, colour schemes, furnishings and layout.

Once the concept design has been agreed in principle, mood boards can be created for each room detailing fabrics and finishes that bring the real feel to the design.

Stage 3: Design Detail & Materials

Design_Detail.jpgAll the important design features are mapped out in detailed guides to ensure all craftspeople involved on the project implement the process to the exact detail.

While producing the guides, Helen and her team begin the process of sourcing the materials. This can involve sourcing specific pieces of furniture, stone or limed finishes, fabrics or accessories to decorate a room setting.

Stage 4: Project Management

Project-Management.jpgThroughout the process Helen and her team ensures the high quality expectations of her clients meet with her own demanding attention to detail and quality when commissioning craftsmen.

Helen will oversee every aspect of the work in progress at every stage to ensure a quality finish results.

Stage 5: Finishing Touches

Finishing-Touches.jpg Adding the final finishing touches to an interior design project requires a personal touch in both style and knowledge.

The ability to source that unusual piece of furniture or lamp can add that individual touch that makes a Helen Turkington design unique.
