Placing an Order

By placing an order for fabric through this website with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you have any queries other than the information provided on our website, please contact one of our staff by telephone at any of our stores in Ireland and the UK at the numbers below.

By placing an order via this website you as the customer are making an offer to Helen Turkington to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in our order.

Once you have placed an order we will send you an order number and confirmation that your order has been received. A contract between you and Helen Turkington for the sale of the products will only exist once an order has been accepted and processed. Your Credit Card/Debit Card will be authorised when your order is placed.

All our products are subject to stock levels and availability at the time of ordering.
The customer must be aware that we reserve the right to remove or change any product on our website.

All goods remain the property of Helen Turkington until paid for in full.

Prices and availability are of goods are subject to change without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value. Please see our delivery times and charges.

We are entitled to refuse any order placed by you.

Fabric Orders

Before placing an order for any of our fabrics, we would advise our customers to avail of our sampling service. We provide fabric samples free of charge from the site.

Sample sizes are approximately 4” square or 10 cm square.

If a larger sample is required we sell all our fabrics starting from half a metre minimum.

For fabric orders we will charge a standard postal charge of £ 10.00 / € 10.00 per metre.
Delivery on fabric orders over the value of €100.00 / £ 100.00 is FREE OF CHARGE.

If any fabric is unavailable to sample or out of stock, we will advise the customer of the soonest delivery date available by phone or email.

For any urgent orders please contact us by email or call one of our stores.

We can help the customer to calculate amounts of fabric for curtaining and upholstery over the phone or by email on the understanding that these are not our own measurements and we cannot be held accountable for any errors. For curtaining quotes please email your dimensions, rail width, finished drop and style of curtains required, French Pleat, eyelets, sheers etc. These are approximate and not binding.

We emphasise that once a fabric has been ordered and cut, that returns and refunds cannot be given. Most of our fabrics are in stock and it is our aim to fulfil any orders within seven working days.

None of our fabrics are sold as Flame Retardant. If you wish to flameproof your fabric choice, this can be done for € 2.50 / £ 2.50 per metre before we send it to you. Please contact one of our stores directly and we can arrange this.

Paint Orders

Please contact one of our stores to place a paint order

For paint orders we will advise the customer of the delivery charge before dispatch.

Whilst every effort is made to display as accurately as possible the colour of our paint colours, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the goods on delivery. If in doubt you are advised to examine actual samples of the colour before placing your order.

Please order a colour chart through the website or call one of our stores for a colour chart. The Price of our painted charts is € 5.00 / £ 4.50.

Where goods are delivered to or received by the customer are damaged or there is a shortfall, the vendor must be notified within 24 hours.


All our fabrics are checked prior to dispatch. Sometimes faults do occur in fabrics and if this is apparent on receiving the order, the fabric may be returned to Helen Turkington. If a fault is established, a refund or replacement will be offered and the cost of postage refunded to the customer.

Fabric batches may vary. Due to their composition some fabrics may contain natural markings or blemishes. Variations in colour and texture may also occur. These are not faults in the fabric but a natural feature of the fabric.

We cannot accept any responsibility for fading or discolouration due to exposure to direct or indirect sunlight. Sunlight affects fabrics in different ways and may affect a fabric colour. Different fabrics, dark or light are liable to fade or discolour at different rates.

We cannot accept any responsibility for fading or discolouration, due to exposure or contact with any chemicals sprayed nearby the curtains or furniture.

On receiving any furniture orders we ask the customer to inform us of any damages or faults within 24 hours by email with relevant photos of the damages attached. After that point we cannot be held responsible for any damages noted and will deem these to have occurred after the delivery took place.

We endeavour to repair defective goods free of charge. If a repair is not possible you will be offered a replacement and if a replacement is not possible we will offer a full refund.

Delivery Times & Charges.

All dates quoted for delivery of goods are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. We cannot be held responsible for any delays on delivery dates. We will inform you in writing of any changes to that date.

Home Delivery times for furniture will be am or pm. We will advise the customer by email as soon as we can prior to the delivery time.

Delivery charges for furniture will be quoted for at the point of ordering through one of our stores.

If doors have to be removed from their hinges in order to gain access on delivery of the furniture items, this is an additional charge and must be paid as an extra charge in addition to the delivery charge to the delivery company on completion of the delivery.

For any shipments outside of the UK and Ireland, please contact one of our stores for shipping quotes.

Goods will only be delivered to the address provided at the time of delivery. It is the customers responsibility to be available at the given address to accept delivery at the scheduled time.

Furniture Orders

Please contact one of our stores to place a furniture order

All our production lead times on furniture and upholstery are approximate at the point of ordering and we cannot be held responsible for delays outside of those lead times.

Bespoke furniture items are made according to dimensions of your choosing. As they do not fall under our standard range, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure at the time of ordering that the dimensions are correct as they cannot be changed on commencing production. Please contact one of our stores for a bespoke quote.

The customer must ensure that there is appropriate access for furniture delivery at the point of ordering and that door heights, access points etc are checked in advance. We cannot be held responsible for difficulties with access on delivery.

Conformity of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this website are not intended to be binding and only to give as close a description as possible to the actual product. Furthermore while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products.


All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication, are quoted in Euro or Pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.


We require payment in full before dispatch of goods.

We will contact you as soon as possible to advise you of your estimated delivery date once payment is received.

Returns Policy

We do not offer refunds as all our furniture is made to order for each customer and paint colours are mixed to order.

Equally once our fabrics are cut and paint tins have been opened it cannot be returned and resold.

We endeavour to repair defective Goods free of charge. If a repair is not possible is not feasible we will offer credit to the value of the goods for use in one of our stores.
