General Frequently Asked questions

Do I need an appointment to come in?

Our showroom is open Monday – Saturday, from 9.30 – 5.30, you are welcome to drop by at any time to explore our ranges of paint, fabric, furniture and accessories.

Where can I purchase your paint?

The Helen Turkington Paint Collection, produced by Colourtrend, is available exclusively at our Spruce Avenue and Dunville Avenue stores. Freshly tinted to order each week, all colours are stocked in Matt Emulsion and Satinwood finishes, other finishes available upon request. If you have a large quantity order, please phone us or call in and we can arrange this for you. We work from hand-painted Colour Charts, giving you the truest representation of colour and finish. Tester pots are also available.

Where should I come to see your fabrics?

The Helen Turkington Fabric Collection is located at our Spruce Avenue store, where you can see many of the fabrics tailored into finished products in our beautiful room sets. Fabrics start from €18/m, available for purchase and collection on the day. Free samples also available.

Is there different ranges across your stores?

Our Dunville Avenue store is our home of accessories and styling, carefully considered and curated for our clients. While our Spruce Avenue showroom also boats a wide selection of accessories, our strength is in the variety of bespoke furniture on show in model room sets which display our curtain and upholstery fabrics alongside our range of paints.

Where can I get flowers from Helen Turkington?

“Flowers on the Avenue” is our fresh flower shop located in our Dunville Avenue store, with an amazing in-house florist from Wednesday – Saturday (changes seasonally, please enquire). Fresh flowers are available as handties and arrangements, and we can also cater for table setting and events. Delivery can be arranged upon request.

How do I get a quote, e.g. for a pair of curtains?

Quotes come in many shapes and sizes - please ask any friendly member of staff and we can advise you of the information you will need in order to receive a quote for specific works.

Do you have a measuring service?

We have a qualified fitter that will measure windows in your home and advise us on technical details to be considered on your job, we can outline measuring and fitting costs at initial enquiry.

What labour services do you provide?

We can provide a range of labour services from curtain and blind-making, furniture recovery, headboards and valances, footstools and bespoke furniture, among many others. Please call us or send an email to info@helenturkington.com and we can guide you to the next step for your project.

How long are your production lead times?

Our lead times vary depending on product, supplier and time of year. Please ask any member of staff and we can advise you of current lead times for various items

How do consultations work?

We do consultations both in-house and on-site, depending on the project detail, please see our services page for more detail. On larger projects, the first meeting is usually on site to discuss the project in detail with a follow up meeting in our Studio in Spruce Ave.

How much does it cost?

As each scheme is tailored, costs will vary. Your Designer will discuss the scope of works with you and work out a fee schedule for the project.
